While Microsoft has touched up the UI, refined it based on modern standards, and added a dark mode, the interface looks almost exactly like that of later Wunderlist releases. And, thanks to the developer's somewhat recent change in direction, it is available on many other platforms, including macOS. Microsoft To Do, like all of the company's cloud-based software, is designed to be integrated with Microsoft 365. However, it wasn't until December 2019 that the former was finally discontinued, with Wunderlist users encouraged to make the transition to the new app. Back in 2015, Microsoft acquired Wunderlist, and in 2017, they announced it would be replaced by Microsoft To Do, the company's own task management app.
